Seven unpaid weeks in Fort Worth
Official page: about seven weeks at the Robert L. Crandall Campus. Unpaid. Single-occupancy housing, three meals a day, and travel to campus if you are not local. Base assigned in week 3. Report within five days of graduation.

- Locals are not required to stay in housing. Most people still should.

Sleep, study group, no drama
Washouts happen, including days before graduation. People who passed: vitamins, rest, a study group, made-up mnemonics, stay out of hotel noise. Instructors repeat “trust the process” — do not read three modules ahead and confuse yourself.

The tests are the job
You’ll hear “KSV.” Those are the scored knowledge checks. Attendance is a scored behavior. Hotel conduct gets reported. You can fail training and reapply later — they will ask if you have been through it.

Retests are limited. Spend them.
One trainee near week four had already used a first retest and was looking at a final retest, an evacuation drill, and OE. Another cited a 50-question check with an 80% bar after studying into the mid-90s. That number is a report, not a published standard. Ask the instant a topic is weak. Do not wait for the last attempt.
